Our 2023 Physical Therapy Consumer Survey is now published and available for free download from our free resources page.
We commissioned a professional survey company to ask 400 people a range of questions about their awareness around physical therapy, what could be treated, their confidence in different types of treatments, and how they would go about choosing a practitioner.
The results were sometimes surprising, with 1 in 4 people surveyed not being aware that physical therapy could treat sports injuries, and only 1 in 3 women over 35 aware that gynae and pelvic floor physio services are available.
Data on how patients approach choosing a therapist is also crucial to physical therapy clinics looking to market their service, and showed a heavy weighting towards Google search.
